Job details
APEC are seeking a qualified and detail oriented Asbestos Analyst to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting air monitoring, four-stage clearances, bulk sampling, and asbestos fibre counting in accordance with current regulations and industry standards.
What you will do
* Conduct air monitoring and fibre counting.
* Perform four stage clearance procedures.
* Carry out smoke tests and visual inspections.
* Collect bulk samples for laboratory analysis.
* Ensure compliance with HSE guidance.
* Produce accurate reports and maintain clear documentation.
* Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site personnel.
* Maintain and calibrate equipment in line with UKAS standards.
Who you are
* BOHS P403 & P404 qualified (essential)
* Experienced in asbestos air monitoring and four stage clearance testing
* Knowledgeable in HSG248 and current UK asbestos legislation
* Hold a full UK driving licence
* Professional communicator with strong written and verbal skills
* Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Desirable:
* Additional BOHS modules (P401, P402)
* Experience across domestic, commercial, and industrial sites
* Previous experience within a UKAS accredited laboratory environment
