A well-established, nationally recognised civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join their Cornwall-based team in Liskeard, working on a strong and secure pipeline of water sector infrastructure projects. The Projects You’ll be working on a varied and interesting portfolio of water infrastructure projects, including: Water treatment works Pipelines and strategic mains Reservoirs Pumping stations Associated civils, earthworks and infrastructure These are well-funded, long-term projects delivered under NEC forms of contract, with realistic programmes and a collaborative commercial approach. The Role As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a key role in the commercial management of live projects from start to finish, working closely with operational teams and supply chain partners. Key responsibilities will include: Commercial management of civil engineering projects Working under NEC contracts Cost control, forecasting and reporting Valuations, applications for payment and final accounts Managing subcontractor packages and procurement Change control, compensation events and commercial risk Supporting project teams to deliver commercially successful outcomes This is a role where your input is valued and your judgement trusted. About You This role suits a civil engineering–grounded Quantity Surveyor who enjoys infrastructure work and wants stability. You’ll bring: A degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar) Experience working in civil engineering or infrastructure Strong knowledge of NEC contracts Background in one or more of the following: Water / wastewater Highways Infrastructure Rail Earthworks A practical, commercially aware mindset The ability to work collaboratively with delivery teams What’s In It For You?
