Salary: £12.50 – £14.00 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Shift Pattern: Day shifts, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Sleep-ins: Paid at £70 per night

About the Role
As a Residential Day Support Worker, you'll work as part of a supportive team, delivering consistent care and encouragement to children and young people. You will:
* Provide hands-on support, including personal care and daily living tasks
* Build positive relationships that promote trust and confidence
* Encourage personal, social, and emotional development through activities and routines
* Follow and contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
* Maintain a safe, nurturing home environment
* Keep clear, accurate records and promptly report any changes in behaviour or wellbeing
* Work in partnership with families, colleagues, and professionals to ensure joined-up support
* Travel where required to support young people in different settings
Your shifts will follow a regular 2-week rolling rota, giving you both structure and work-life balance.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
* Experience supporting children or young people (residential care or similar setting preferred)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and positive relationships
* Patience, empathy, and resilience, with a genuine commitment to helping others
* Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
* Flexibility to work a structured rota including weekends and evenings
* Team player with a collaborative, supportive approach
Desirable:
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce
* First aid training
* Experience supporting children with complex or challenging behaviours
* Full UK driving licence
