As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for the effective and economic operation and utilisation of all Information Technology and telecommunication facilities utilised by Tayside Contracts.
You will be a resilient, flexible and adaptable individual who is motivated, with high professional standards and commitment to CPD, customer and outcome focused and has a high level of integrity and independence.
You will have considerable experience in network management, design and configuration and experience of installing and configuring a wide range of computer hardware and software and managing projects, experience of procurement and budget management and also cyber security and data protection requirements.
You will be educated to HND or Degree level and hold recognised IT or network managements qualification(s) or the relevant experience.
You will have in-depth knowledge of computer systems/networks and a range of software applications and be able to lead, organise, manage, develop, deploy and motivate a team and demonstrate excellent supervisory skills. You will also be able to solve problems, design solutions and demonstrate excellent IT support skills and be able to plan and prioritise own work programmes and those of others, work to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
You will have the ability to establish effective working relationships within the IT Section and other internal and external working contact, to plan and organise work to meet corporate and statutory objectives and timelines and convey complex IT information to non-IT specialists. You will have concise and clear verbal and written communication skills and good literacy and numeracy skills.
A Category B Driving Licence or equivalent entitlement to drive in Great Britain and access to a motor vehicle, or otherwise able to meet the requirement to travel efficiently to other locations is essential.
