Field Service Engineer - Bespoke Equipment
Are you ready to go on the road and take your technical skills to a dedicated network of customer sites? If so, this could be the role for you.
Day shifts – no lates. Your day starts when you start your vehicle!
In this role, no two days will ever be the same and the products you work on will be diverse, including HGVs, Ground Support GSE, RORO (Roll on Roll Off), Fire and rescue, Tractors, Tugs, and other bespoke operating platforms.
Responsibilities
* Callouts
* Preventative Maintenance
* Emergency Breakdowns
* Pre‑arranged servicing at rural sites
* MOT Preparation
* Engine work and diagnostic investigations
* Correction of running defects
* Chassis and fabrication work
* Hydraulics and pneumatics
* Improvement of vehicle standards
* Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections
Qualifications
A Class 2 Licence would be beneficial. You will need to be a fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or have been accredited via an authorised Apprenticeship.
You will need to be a self‑motivated, independent vehicle engineer capable of traveling within North London and Essex. A strong understanding of vehicle technology and the ability to follow the repair process from fault analysis to completion are essential.
