Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 18th Edition Maintenance and Repair Electrical Engineer to join our production and factory team. This is 100% site based no travel required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in both mechanical & electrical maintenance, with a focus on ensuring the functionality and reliability of the production and operation equipment. Working Monday to Friday (afternoon shifts 2pm till 10:15pm), 40-hours per week. Own transport essential to get to and from site, as no bus or train links available, and site location is out in the middle of rural countryside. £35,000 to £40,000 Basic Annual Salary. Full-time permanent position, you will be required to supply proof of right to work and qualifications at application stage prior to interview. Responsibilities: * Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to maximise production targets, as well as electrical engineering work. * Repairing and servicing rollers, conveyers, and line machines to ensure production output is maintained. * Troubleshoot and repair issues, service and maintain and ensure that planned maintenance is scheduled with minimal disruption. * Interpret schematics to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions. * Perform tasks as required for equipment repairs and modifications. * Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Essential / Preferred Requirements: * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations – City & Guilds 2382-22 (Essential). * Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) with AM2 completed. * Inspection & Testing qualification – City & Guilds 2391-52 (or equivalent). * ECS/JIB Gold Card Electrician. * Proven experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. * Competence working on control panels, MCCs, motors, drives, and production line equipment. Health, Safety and Compliance Transferable’s: * Lock-out/Tag-out (LOTO) and Permit to Work experience. * Manual Handling and Working at Height. * Food Safety Level 2 (manufacturing) or willingness to complete. * Good understanding of hygiene, GMP and working in high-care food areas. Desirables: * PLC and control systems fault-finding experience. * Ammonia or refrigeration plant awareness (or similar refrigerant safety training). * ATEX / hazardous area awareness or CompEx (site dependent). * First Aid at Work. This is a hands-on role supporting maintenance, fault finding, and installation work across production, packaging, and cold storage areas.
