Job Overview
Birch Avenue Nursing Home offers 40 beds for people with complex dementia. The Registered Provider is South Yorkshire Housing Association, working with Sheffield Health Partnership University. The focus is on improving and empowering residents to enjoy a quality life experience.
Responsibilities
* Deliver care directly to residents following care plans, supervised by the Nurse in charge.
* Observe and report residents’ physical and emotional changes to the Nurse in charge, ensuring timely review of care plans.
* Maintain person-centred care, promoting resident and relative engagement and choice.
* Support independence, dignity and respect throughout care delivery, assisting with personal care, mobility and activities of daily living.
* Keep accurate and timely records of care in line with Trust policy and procedure.
Qualifications
* Care Certificate
* Experience working with dementia care
* Alternative evidence showing keenness to progress
Desirable
* NVQ in Health and Social Care
* Alternative Health and Social Care Qualifications
* Experience working within a caring role or facility
