Job Title: Solutions Architect (Data)
Terms: Permanent, full-time
Salary: c.£75,000

Allen Lane is delighted to be supporting a London-based Local Authority in their search for a Solutions Architect. This is a new role in the structure, with a particular focus on data architecture and data platforms.
The postholder will own end-to-end solution designs, working closely with senior stakeholders cross the Council. We are looking for applicants that can demonstrate outstanding collaboration and engagement skills, communicating effectively will a diverse range of stakeholders up to and including Director level and with external partners.
You will play a critical role in leading the definition, design and delivery of modern data solutions and products. You will have excellent Cloud knowledge, either with Azure or AWS.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate the following skills and experience against the following essential criteria:
* Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Data Scientist, Azure AI, Power Platform Solution Architect).
* Experience in solution architecture methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
* Ability to work with technical and non-technical teams and clearly communicate complex ideas.
* Experience selecting and implementing multiple data-platform patterns – relational warehousing, NoSQL, data-lakes – and matching each to business need.
* Proven experience designing and delivering enterprise-grade solutions across Cloud and on-premises solutions.
* Strong expertise with Azure Cloud services, Power Platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
* Proven experience with a tools and technologies required to enable data-modelling, data catalog, data quality and lineage tools and processes e.g. Purview, Collibra, Profisee.
* Deep knowledge of Azure or AWS landing-zones, DevSecOps and modern integration patterns (APIM, messaging, event streaming).
* Strong understanding of security, data protection and integration patterns.
* Experience working in agile, iterative or hybrid delivery environments.
* Knowledge of service design or process mapping.
* Familiarity with AI, IoT, RPA or similar concepts, with the ability to contextualise their use in local government settings.
