Freelance Senior Build Manager – Tier One Main Contractor

Rate: £350-£360 per day
Company Overview:
Our client is a highly respected Tier One Main Contractor with a strong presence across the UK construction market. They are currently delivering a high-profile new build apartment development in the heart of Leeds and are looking to appoint an experienced Freelance Senior Build Manager to join the project delivery team.
The Role:
As Senior Build Manager, you will oversee on-site delivery of a major residential development, managing the construction programme, site teams, and subcontractors to ensure the project runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a key leadership position on a fast-paced scheme, requiring someone with a strong track record in large-scale apartment projects and previous experience working for a Tier One Main Contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all site activities and ensure adherence to programme, cost, and quality targets.
* Oversee subcontractor performance and coordination.
* Lead daily site meetings and liaise with project, design, and commercial teams.
* Drive health & safety standards across the site.
* Ensure compliance with technical drawings and specifications.
* Report progress and issues to the Project Director.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior Build Manager or Senior Site Manager on major new build residential projects.
* Background working for a Tier One Main Contractor is essential.
* Strong leadership and organisational skills.
* SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications.
* Ability to start at short notice and commit for the project duration.
