Hours: Minimum of 15 hours per week and will be a 39 week, term time contact.

Reports to: Deputy Manager/ Nursery Manager (hereafter referred to as management.)
Job Description
To safely transport children to and from the nursery in accordance with safeguarding guidelines and nursery policies, ensuring a secure, punctual, and friendly service for families.
Desirable Criteria
* Proven experience driving professionally or in a childcare setting (preferred)
* Paediatric First Aid
* Child Protection Training
Key Responsibilities & Duties
* Pick up and drop of children as per schedule obtained from management.
* Operate the nursery vehicle in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
* To ensure that a valid driving licence is held at all times and is available for inspection by management at all times. Any change to the licence which may affect your entitlement to drive is communicated to management (e.g. sickness, injury or conviction).
* To have up to date Child Protection training at all times (This will be required to be undertaken if not currently held)
* Perform safety and maintenance checks on the vehicles.
* Clean the vehicle as scheduled and/or required.
* Ensure the vehicle is safely and securely stored.
* Advise management of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.
* Ensure all children are aware of the vehicle rules, and maintain order and discipline on the nursery vehicle.
* Assist children safely in and out of the vehicle, ensuring seatbelts and child restraints are correctly used.
* Report any incidents, delays, or maintenance issues promptly to the management.
* Ensure speed limits are adhered to at all times.
* To comply with company regulations regarding the use of mobile phones, smoking and the use of prohibited equipment (cameras) whilst on duty.
* Build positive relationships with parents, guardians, and children
* To attend training as and when required.
* To take part in staff supervisions and annual appraisals as requested.
