A Buyer is required on a permanent basis for a market leading, reputable provider to a range of industries.
As Buyer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining supplier relationships and purchasing materials efficiently and effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities include
* Ensuring all requisitions and pricing requests are processed in a prompt and efficient manner, and within company procedures.
* Ensuring that all orders placed meet the requirements, protect the interests of the company, are legally binding and cover all relevant terms and conditions.
* Analysing and evaluating offers with regard to commercial and contractual issues and adequately address technical issues/evaluation to Technical Department.
* Selecting appropriate suppliers for the materials to be purchased.
* Running and managing MRP report on a daily basis, placing any resulting stock orders in a manner deemed timely by management team.
* Taking actions wherever necessary to identify and mitigate risks and ensure that suppliers fulfil the contracts/purchase orders.
* Ensuring that order acknowledgements are in accordance with the purchase orders.
* Constantly monitoring all confirmed orders with suppliers ensuring on time delivery and supporting the Expeditor.
* Ensuring that all invoice queries are processed, and changes approved, in a timely manner.
* Ensuring effective communications are maintained between Customer Service Advisors, Suppliers, Goods In and Logistics.
* Supporting the setting up and supervision of Supplier Agreements for whatever goods or services the Company requires.
* Managing the operation of these agreements ensuring they are conducted as specified in the agreement.
* Ensuring all specific status reports are completed and issued in a timely manner.
Applicants Require
* Previous procurement experience within the Oil and Gas industry.
* ERP systems experience.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to use initiative.
