This role is ideal for a testing professional who enjoys building robust automation frameworks, improving software quality, and working closely with development teams to deliver reliable solutions. You'll play a key role throughout the software development lifecycle, helping to ensure applications meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and security. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites Create and execute automated test scripts across multiple environments Work closely with developers, business analysts and stakeholders to define testing requirements Identify, record and track software defects through to resolution Support the integration of automated testing within CI/CD pipelines Perform functional, integration, regression and system testing activities Contribute to test strategy development and quality assurance best practices Produce clear test documentation, reports and evidence where required Support continuous improvement initiatives across testing and delivery teams Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies and collaborative engineering activities Required Skills & Experience Commercial experience in Automation Testing or Software Test Engineering Active SC Clearance Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright or similar Experience testing APIs and backend services Knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery processes Experience working within Agile environments Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Desirable Skills Experience within Defence, National Security, Government or other secure environments Knowledge of Java, Python, JavaScript or C# Experience with performance or non-functional testing Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure Familiarity with container technologies including Docker Understanding of security testing principles Experience working on large-scale enterprise systems Additional Information Active SC Clearance is required for this role eligibility for DV Clearance DV Clearance sponsorship is available for successful candidates Due to the nature of the work, additional security checks may be required Hybrid working arrangements may be available depending on project requirements Benefits Salary up to £60,000 DV Clearance sponsorship Flexible and hybrid working options Ongoing training and professional development Opportunity to work on secure, high-impact technology programmes Collaborative engineering-focused environment Clear progression and long-term career development opportunities
