BRC is working with one of our key clients in the South West to recruit for 4 Housing Officers to cover patches throughout Plymouth and Cornwall. As an experienced Housing Officer, you will be the primary relationship manager for customers in your patch. You'll deliver front‑line customer service, respond to tenancy enquiries, manage community standards, and address tenancy breaches. You will also be involved in new developments. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain safe, welcoming environments and foster strong community ties.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide outstanding service and support for customers, handling queries, permissions and tenancy management.
* Conduct tenancy sign‑ups, viewings and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements.
* Manage cases of tenancy breaches, including safeguarding of customers.
* Oversee estate standards and service contracts to ensure value for money and a high‑quality living environment.
* Lead the delivery of vibrant resident engagement and support community development objectives within your geographical patch to promote business objectives and to support tenancy and neighbourhood sustainability.
Qualifications
* Experience in social housing with experience of tenancy, estate and housing management.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organisational skills to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* Have an excellent customer focus, with an ability and drive to improve customer satisfaction.
* Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
