The purpose of this role is to support the Estates Manager (Compliance) in ensuring that the Trust’s electrical and mechanical equipment are maintained to statutory and mandatory standards, providing a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include maintaining and refining planned preventative maintenance, repair and replacement programmes, managing minor projects, and ensuring adherence to current legislation, regulations, and safe systems of work:
* PPM planning
* Contracts and service delivery management
* Authorised Person duties (medical gas PMGS, LV/HV, water, ventilation, or pressurised systems)
* Knowledge of M&E plant, HV & LV systems, BMS, Air Conditioning (FCU/AHU), HVAC, Plumbing, Lighting, Small installations, Emergency lighting tests, Chillers, Water treatment, etc.
* Experience with steam, autoclaves, sterilizers, fire alarms, vacuum waste/toilets, sprinkler systems, generators, chilled beams is beneficial.
* Ensure permit to work procedures are followed for safe contractor and staff work.
* Oversee installation and upgrade projects.
* Conduct management meetings.
* Liaise with stakeholders daily.
* Participate in an on-call rota as required, with additional payment.
* Assist with preparing and collating tender documents.
* This position requires participation in the Estates emergency on-call rota, including out-of-hours work.
