Due to the nature of our business, occasional evenings or weekends may be required. Any days worked beyond Mon-Fri will be given as TOIL

This is a hybrid role (1-3 days in office based on the business need) and may require travel to our London and Edinburgh locations on occasion.
Field Vision Bars are a growing Festival Bars and Venue Operator with big plans ahead, including the launch of a brand new venue in Q4 Alongside delivering the likes of Boomtown and Kendal Calling, we have a longstanding history operating at established venues such as Printworks & Drumsheds London. To support our next stage of growth, we're looking for a proactive and experienced Management Accountant to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function and help shape the financial future of the company.
This is a stand-alone role, reporting directly to the Managing Director, with additional support from our external accountancy firm for year-end reporting. You'll play a vital part in keeping our finances running smoothly – from cash flow and management reporting to budgeting and forecasting – ensuring the business has the insight and control it needs to grow sustainably.
This isn't just a back-office role; your work will directly influence decision-making and the success of new projects, including our exciting new venues. Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Manage the day-to-day finance function, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow.
* Managing weekly and monthly payroll, reconciling timesheets and submitting payroll journals.
* Produce accurate and timely monthly management accounts, providing analysis and insights to support strategic decisions.
* Preparation of monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
* Working closely with Directors on budgeting and forecasting, to support growth plans and new venue launches.
* Identification and posting of journals, including payroll journals, prepayments, accruals and deferred income.
* Provide financial reporting and advice to senior management to guide key business decisions.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and liaise with external accountants for year-end processes.
* Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and controls to support scalability.
* Reconciliation and management of stock, to include assisting in the co-ordination of processes by the operations team to ensure accurate inventory control, tracking and maintaining transactions for movements on the stock system.
What we're looking for:
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with UK based experience
* Min. 3 years' experience in a similar management accounting role.
* Must have start-end UK payroll experience
* Hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a stand-alone role.
* Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to translate numbers into actionable insights.
* Excellent Excel and financial systems skills; comfortable streamlining processes.
* A proactive communicator who enjoys working closely with non-finance teams.
* Experience in hospitality, events, or multi-site businesses would be a strong advantage.
* Previous experience with Xero, Approval Max and Soldo would be advantageous.
* Willing to assist in adopting processes and recognising possibilities where these could be improved or developed.
* Able to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and communicate at all levels, internally and externally.
