Manor Drive Medical Centre is on the lookout for a proactive and enthusiastic Medical Secretary/Administrator to join our friendly secretarial team!In this varied and rewarding role (approximately 21 hours per week), youll play a key part in supporting patient care by preparing and sending referrals, booking NHS appointments through the ERS system, and helping resolve queries with confidence and professionalism.

Main duties of the job
The main responsibilities of this role include preparing and sending referrals to the appropriate organisations, managing and resolving queries, chasing results and appointment updates, and maintaining clear communication with our GPs, patients, and hospital teams. Youll play an essential part in keeping our clinical processes running smoothly and ensuring patients receive the support they need.

Job responsibilities
To beresponsible for undertaking a wide range of secretarial and administrativeduties and the provision of administrative support to the multidisciplinaryteam.
Duties caninclude, but are not limited to, the processing of information (electronic andhard copy) in a timely manner, liaising with multidisciplinary team members andexternal agencies such as secondary care and community service providers inaccordance with current policies. Furthermore, duties can also includesupporting the administration and receptionist teams as required.
To be responsible for SNOMED CTcoding of relevant information into patients electronic healthcare records onthe clinical system, adhering to the organisations coding policy.
The post-holder will be an integralpart of the general practice team.
