Operating across projects ranging from £20k to £5m, they deliver high-quality Design & Build, Detail & Build, and refurbishment schemes throughout London and the South East. The business has a collaborative culture, a supportive senior leadership team, and ambitious plans to grow their project portfolio, including developing a dedicated small works division. About the Role This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Head of Contracts to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects from contract award through to final account. Leading a team of Contracts Managers, you’ll ensure contractual, financial, and operational excellence across all live projects. Key responsibilities include: * Managing and negotiating JCT contracts, variations, valuations, and final accounts. * Overseeing contract administration to ensure compliance and mitigate risk. * Driving project programming using MS Project, identifying critical paths, and issuing delays or EOT notices. * Leading weekly internal project reviews and attending client meetings to ensure project success. * Managing project cash flow, budgets, and financial reporting. * Maintaining strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact for contractual matters. * Ensuring health & safety and quality standards are rigorously upheld. * Mentoring and developing your team to achieve their full potential. You’ll also play a strategic role in setting up a small works division and contributing to broader business development initiatives. Requirements * At least 10 years of contracts management experience within the construction sector, with a proven track record of managing JCT contracts. * Strong background in contract administration, project programming, critical path analysis, and financial management of construction projects. * Professional construction qualifications (CIOB membership or equivalent) preferred. * Excellent knowledge of MS Project, construction contracts, commercial law, and risk management. * A collaborative leader with a hands-on approach, exceptional communication, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills. * Committed to maintaining high standards of health & safety and client service. * Must hold or be able to obtain a valid CSCS card
