Governance and Compliance Project Officer (Fixed Term), BRIDGEND COUNTY BOROUGH COUNCIL

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Governance and Compliance Officer to support the work of the Strategic Regeneration Group. The group sits within the Communities Directorate of Bridgend County Borough Council and is made up of 3 teams: Regeneration Projects, Conservation and Design, and Regeneration Funding and Regional Engagement.
The post will report directly to the Team Leader for Regeneration Funding and Regional Engagement but will work across all three teams, providing an opportunity to play an important role in supporting the leadership team in delivering a diverse portfolio of strategic projects.
In this key role you will ensure that our delivery complies with major external funders, including UK Government and Welsh Government regulations. You will lead the development, establishment, and administration of Bridgend’s governance, financial, performance, and quality control systems and coordinate a partnership approach to the work of the Strategic Regeneration Group by managing project and programme boards across the service. You will also support our projects’ procurement and contract management.
You will bring experience of working across multiple projects within set deadlines, and offer a proactive, flexible and solution‑focused attitude.
