Overview
We are excited to be hiring a full‑time Speech and Language Therapy Assistant to join our team in Spelthorne, North East Surrey. The role is part of the School‑Aged Speech and Language Therapy Service, which is supported by Surrey County Council and works collaboratively with teams such as Educational Psychology and specialist teachers.
Responsibilities
* Work individually with students within a school setting.
* Model teaching strategies for teachers and teaching assistants.
* Deliver small‑group sessions.
* Create resources for the therapy team.
* Provide verbal and written feedback to school staff and parents.
* Keep accurate written case notes.
Qualifications & Experience
* At least 2 years’ experience working with children and young people in mainstream or specialist schools or centres.
* Experience working with a speech and language therapy team member.
* Evidence of using IT systems such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
* Ability to work flexibly and independently.
* Valid UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willingness to travel for the role.
* Reasonable adjustments will be made for successful candidates with a disability or long‑term health condition.

Annual salary: £25,602 (36 hours per week, 42 weeks per year). Pro‑rated salary: £27,634.
