Accounts Payable Supervisor – GNFR
Location: Handforth (hybrid role 2-3 days in the office)
Full-Time | Permanent

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to manage our GNFR (Goods Not For Resale) Accounts Payable function. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a small team, drive process improvements, and ensure our suppliers are paid accurately and on time.
What you’ll be doing
1. Lead and manage the GNFR AP team of three, ensuring workloads and deadlines are met.
2. Build strong relationships across the business and with external suppliers.
3. Maintain robust financial controls and ensure segregation of duties.
4. Drive continuous improvement and automation in AP processes.
5. Monitor KPIs and SLAs to enhance team performance and service delivery.
6. Oversee weekly aged creditor analysis, statement reconciliations, and GRNI reviews.
7. Ensure timely resolution of queries and prevent business-critical issues.
8. Manage weekly payment runs, master data accuracy, and period-end tasks.
9. Support internal and external audits and provide regular reporting packs.
10. Conduct regular 1-2-1s, training, and performance reviews for team development.
What we’re looking for
11. Proven experience in Accounts Payable with a background in team leadership or supervision. (Preferably, but not essential in a similar size retail company)
12. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to process improvement.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
14. Confident using finance systems (SAP or similar).
15. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
16. Intermediate Excel skills (minimum requirement).
