North Oxford Garage is looking for an Assistant Accountant.
Your role
This role will support the financial management of the organisation by assisting with accounts payable and financial accounting.
• Review and reconciliation of balance sheet codes
• Calculating and posting journals into the Dealer Management System
• Daily/weekly control of ledger balances including vehicles, deposits and cash debtors
• Confirmation of cleared funds and setting up bank payments
• Assist with monthly physical vehicle stock checks
• Provide holiday cover for other accounts functions inc. Bank recs and Cash Banking
• Posting and reconciling company credit card statements
• Posting entries into vehicle stock books and reviewing monthly deal logs
Your profile
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, with experience in financial services and proficiency in accounting software.
You'll need to demonstrate:
• proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Intermediate Excel skills (Lookups, Sorting data, basic formula)
• Keyloop Drive/ Rev 8 experience (preferred, not essential)
• Strong communication skills and professional manner
• Friendly, professional and flexible character
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
