Arthur Recruitment are supporting a leading insurer in the search for a Marine Underwriter. This role is responsible for assessing and underwriting marine insurance risks, including cargo and associated marine exposures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Underwrite new and renewal marine business within delegated authority.
* Assess risk exposures and determine suitable terms, conditions, and premiums.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and key stakeholders.
* Monitor portfolio performance and support profitability objectives.
* Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
* Provide technical underwriting support and contribute to business development initiatives.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in marine underwriting or a related insurance discipline.
* Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
* Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
* Knowledge of marine insurance products and market practices.
* Professional insurance qualifications are advantageous.
