Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Housing Options Officer for a Local Authority Client in Berkshire. In this role, you will conduct homelessness assessments, provide first-stage legal advice, and work proactively to prevent homelessness while ensuring compliance with housing legislation. Duties: Conduct first-stage homelessness assessments and gather necessary documentation. Review S8 and S21 notices for legal validity and compliance. Provide initial legal advice under the Housing Act and Part 7 Homelessness legislation. Upload and manage case information in Jigsaw while supporting homelessness prevention initiatives. Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience: Proven experience in first-stage homelessness assessments and housing options. Knowledge of housing legislation, including HRA and Part 7 Homelessness provisions. Experience checking S8 and S21 notices for legal compliance. Competence using housing management systems (Jigsaw preferred).
