About The Role
As a postdoctoral Research Fellow, you will work on a large UKRI-funded interdisciplinary project on enhancing climate resilience among farming and pastoralist communities in eastern Africa, led by Dr. Anna Rabinovich. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the Social Psychology stream, which will test a group-based intervention aimed at supporting implementation of co‑selected nature‑based solutions to land degradation by harnessing social psychological processes.
About You
* You will have a PhD in social or environmental psychology or a related discipline.
* You will need an excellent grasp of social psychological theory, strong quantitative research skills, and brilliant academic writing skills.
* Ideally, you will have experience of interdisciplinary research and working across cultures, as well as experience of collecting research data in the field.
* You will have ability and willingness to travel to partner countries (Tanzania and Ethiopia) as required.
* You will have excellent time‑management skills, be able to work under time pressure and adapt to unexpected circumstances.
* You will be resourceful in addressing challenges and capable to take initiative.
* You will have excellent ability to work as part of a team, effectively collaborating with multiple team members across disciplinary and state boundaries and contributing to a positive working environment.
* Excellent communication skills are essential.
