Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join our busy and friendly Conveyancing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing vital administrative and secretarial support to our solicitors and fee earners.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing comprehensive secretarial support to the Conveyancing Department.
* Preparing and formatting legal documents, contracts, and correspondence.
* Handling telephone calls and email enquiries from clients, solicitors, estate agents, and lenders.
* Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and ensuring key dates are met.
* Opening, closing, and archiving client files in accordance with firm procedures.
* Carrying out Land Registry and HMRC searches and submissions.
* Assisting with completion statements and file preparation for exchange and completion.
* Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
About You
* Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a Conveyancing department is essential.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
* Confident communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
* Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems (such as LEAP, Osprey, or similar).
