* Overseeing day-to-day operational performance of Tier 1 hauliers, ensuring service, cost and capacity alignment.
* Leading regional transport cost optimisation initiatives, including payload improvement, backhaul utilisation and best cost carrier allocation.
* Managing regional fleet and fulfilment performance, ensuring transport principles are embedded across planning and operations.
* Ensuring all regional hauliers meet safety, compliance and telematics standards, driving continuous improvement in Safe performance.
Who you are
* You have led regional road transport or logistics operations, with direct experience managing fleets or haulier networks.
* You understand transport cost principles, including rate structures, utilisation, payload optimisation and commercial levers within carrier frameworks.
* You are confident negotiating with carriers and managing commercial discussions, with experience owning budgets or influencing P&L performance.
* You bring a strategic mindset, able to balance regional capacity planning, fulfilment performance and cost control.
* You build credible relationships with hauliers, operational leaders and procurement partners, knowing when to act independently and when to escalate.
