CAD Engineer - Leeds (Office-Based)
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
This role is part of a well-established design team in Leeds, working on trenchless pipeline design projects, including micro tunnelling and horizontal directional drilling, for a respected engineering organisation.

Key Responsibilities
* Produce, amend and maintain 3D/2D model data and drawing packages within a common data environment (CDE).
* Ensure CAD models meet internal QA, client and industry BIM standards.
* Prepare scheme designs under supervision where required.
* Identify and resolve spatial coordination and layout issues.
* Support the CAD Manager in maintaining quality and consistency across projects.
* Actively contribute to the development of CAD standards and best practices.
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
* Minimum 3+ years of experience as a CAD Technician/Engineer.
* Ability to generate and manipulate surfaces, alignments, and profiles in Civil 3D.
* Minimum BTEC Level (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Previous experience within a construction or engineering environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to CAD standards.
* Organised, proactive, and capable of meeting tight deadlines.
* Working knowledge of BIM processes and common data environments (CDEs).
Desirable
* Knowledge of steelwork or reinforced concrete detailing.
* Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks, or MicroStation.
* Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
