Key Responsibilities of Accounts Assistant Carry out accounting and administrative duties in line with company procedures. Process invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and on time. Reconcile accounts and ensure funds are properly allocated to the right customer or supplier. Respond promptly to payment and account queries. Maintain accurate records of cash, cheque, and direct debit transactions. Verify VAT and ensure compliance with tax regulations. Support general finance operations and maintain daily account updates. Communicate professionally with colleagues, customers, and suppliers. Skills & Experience Strong numeracy and attention to detail. Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial documents. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
