Accounts Assistant required for a dynamic construction business based in Rotherham (additional office in the South). Reporting to the Director the Accounts Assistant would be responsible for: Maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers. Dealing with contractors/CIS. Credit control. Month-end checks. Balance sheet reconciliations. Expenses/credit card reconciliations. Checking and processing employee expenses. Processing timesheets. Liaising with the external accountant on a regular basis. Attending fortnightly finance team meetings. Other ad hoc duties as required. This role is not limited to any industry although candidates from a construction background would be desirable: Previous experience within a fast-paced, ever-changing environment is required. Good written and verbal communication skills are essential. Working knowledge of Sage is desirable. Good IT skills including Excel (Pivot Tables and VLookups) are essential. You must be a self self-starter able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload
