Dawlish House (opening 2026) is a 3-bed children residential home Coventry South, specialising in children age 8-17 (any gender) living with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).As we prepare to embark on this new adventure, we are seeking to recruit caring, committed, and resilient Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team in providing high-quality care within our childrens home. About the Role Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people? Youll support children and young people who may have experienced trauma, neglect, or emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Working as part of a supportive team, youll help create a nurturing and structured environment where every young person feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Build positive and trusting relationships with children and young people. Support with daily routines, education, and recreational activities. Promote emotional well-being, independence, and life skills. Help manage challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support strategies. Ensure care plans, risk assessments, and reports are completed accurately. Promote safeguarding and work in line with Ofsted and company standards. Work collaboratively with colleagues, social workers, and external professionals. What Were Looking For A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)- essential Minimum 1 year experience in working with children or young people in a residential or care setting essential Good communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. Flexibility to work a rota including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. Full UK driving licence desirable. What We Offer Competitive pay with sleep-in allowance.
