Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Setting (Sheffield SEN School)
Role Overview:
We are recruiting an experienced Specialist Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional and complex needs at a primary-aged specialist setting in Sheffield S6. You will work within a close-knit team to deliver tailored learning, implement behaviour strategies, and support social and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
2. Work with teachers and support staff to deliver tailored interventions.
3. Implement agreed behaviour strategies.
4. Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and contribute to planning.
Essential Requirements:
5. Previous experience working with primary-aged children in a UK primary or specialist setting (essential).
6. Proven experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
7. Excellent communication and team skills.
8. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
