Apprentice Workforce Assistant - Reward and Benefits
Warwickshire County Council is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Reward and Benefits team as an Apprentice Workforce Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment, while working towards a Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Support staff with queries about pay and benefits
* Assist with payroll tasks and salary sacrifice calculations
* Help administer employee benefit schemes
* Create engaging communications to promote staff benefits
* Provide admin support for payroll and benefit‑related projects
* Manage and analyse data to support service improvements
Key Requirements
Essential:
* Confident communicator (written and verbal)
* GCSEs (Grade 9–4) or equivalent in English and Maths
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and email
* Organised and able to meet deadlines
* Eager to learn and grow
* Team player with a positive attitude
* Able to travel to work settings when required
Desirable:
* Interest in HR, payroll, or public service careers
* Experience in customer service or office environments
* Involvement in extracurricular or voluntary activities
