Digital identity architect: zero-trust & cloud iam leader

Summary

Avanade is looking for an experienced Digital Identity Architect. This is predominantly a delivery‑focused role with the opportunity to support on pre‑sales activities. We provide a unique opportunity to help our clients solve complex and cutting‑edge Digital Identity business challenges across the business‑to‑employees, business‑to‑business, and business‑to‑customer spaces. As we move to Zero Trust Network Access and Service Edge, capability knowledge in this area is key.

About the Role

In a client‑facing role you will be engaged on some of the most exciting, complex, and leading‑edge projects. You will play an active role in transforming our client’s Digital Identity solutions and operations through the design and implementation of Digital Identity technologies, with a focus on Microsoft Digital Identity capabilities and leading market vendors such as Saviynt and One Identity.

As an ICOE Security member you will be in a unique position within the business, managing your time across pre‑sales, client delivery, and offering development. You will be measured on utilization of up to 70% of your time, while the remaining 30% is spent on asset and offering development and training, making this role flexible and attractive to those wanting a cutting‑edge Cyber Security role with global impact.

This role offers the opportunity to establish yourself as a leader in the Digital Identity space, delivering large and global solutions and gaining experience with Microsoft’s broader Security, Compliance, and Identity ecosystem.

About You

You are a Digital Identity Architect with the following capabilities:

• Leading medium to large projects and project teams
• Managing deliverables and delivering against critical milestones
• Experience in solution architecture and pre‑sales deal shaping
• Developing and maintaining long‑term strategic client relationships
• Proven ability to learn new technology

Ideally you have worked on the Microsoft platform but we can provide focused training to candidates who demonstrate passion, experience, and thought leadership.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing Cloud Identity solutions such as Entra ID Premium, including conditional access, application single sign on, SCIM provisioning, and advanced security controls such as user and behavioral analytics
• Proven understanding of Active Directory and legacy authentication protections (LDAP, Kerberos, etc.)
• Experience with modern authentication protocols and integrating applications using those protocols
• Experience in cloud infrastructure entitlement management (CIEM) and decentralized identity
• Proven experience designing and implementing Identity and Access Management solutions, including joiners, movers, leavers, and access governance processes
• Some experience with privileged access management solutions and secrets management
• Strong understanding of business, privacy, security, and compliance challenges surrounding Digital Identities and a passion for solving these challenges for clients
• Understanding of modern identity approaches to securely collaborate and manage third‑party/external identity
• Ability to build logic app workflows for identity lifecycle provisioning is desirable but not required
• Understanding of customer identity management systems (B2C and external ID)
• Awareness of emerging technologies in the Digital Identity space
