Pharmacist in Charge – Oncology Services
About the Role
HPS is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacist in Charge to lead pharmacy services at our Alexander Avenue site. This role has been created as part of a service restructure to strengthen pharmacist leadership within the oncology space, ensuring excellence in governance, clinical oversight, and service delivery.
You will play a key leadership role within the pharmacy team, working closely with hospital and clinic stakeholders while providing specialist support across oncology services and sterile compounding, with the opportunity to shape and develop service models.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and oversight of pharmacy operations and oncology services
* Lead and support pharmacy staff across clinical and operational functions
* Oversee oncology medication management and governance
* Support and contribute to sterile compounding services
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
* Contribute to service development, workforce capability, and continuous improvement
About You
* Current registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA
* Oncology and sterile compounding experience is highly desirable
* Strong clinical, organisational, and people‑leadership skills
* Ability to lead change and support high‑performing teams
