We’re looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a well-regarded primary school in Chelmsford. Starting immediately, this full-time role offers the chance to work closely with pupils who need extra support managing their emotions, making positive choices, and engaging with learning.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs.
* Implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support their confidence and self-esteem.
* Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored support plans.
* Encourage social and emotional development both in and out of the classroom.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with behavioural or SEMH needs (school, youth work, or similar).
* Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate situations calmly.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and take direction from school staff.
* A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
