Principal Site Reliability Engineer
An American software company, ranked #1 on Forbes' list of most innovative companies, is hiring a Principal Site Reliability Engineer. They are expanding their Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team, responsible for building and managing a global full-stack cloud infrastructure for their SaaS product.
This role involves responsibilities such as:
* Building a safe, fast, and observable web configuration management pipeline.
* Managing a large-scale hybrid cloud of bare metal servers and VMs.
* Collaborating with a team to write, review, and deploy infrastructure as code.
* Developing test plans and automation for declarative infrastructure across multiple cloud environments.
* Researching and implementing new open-source and commercial tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience operating large-scale bare metal Linux servers using configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
* Ability to research best practices and maintain high development standards.
* Deep understanding of Linux servers, networking, storage, and software packaging.
* Ability to document and communicate system architecture.
* Comfort with coding, debugging, and writing test specifications in a team setting, with experience in test automation.
* Experience with various open-source tools used in production environments.
* Ability to troubleshoot and understand internals of DevOps tools.

* Base salary between £95,000 and £120,000, depending on experience.
