Inspector
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Inspector to join our client who are a leading aerospace company in Yeovil. You will be responsible for the inspection of detailed and final assembly aerospace equipment, ensuring all parts comply with manufacturing instructions, specifications, and customer/regulator requirements. Working within an empowered team environment, you will play a critical role in meeting delivery deadlines and maintaining high quality standards.
Inspector Responsibilities:
* Conduct First Article Inspection of manufactured products.
* Perform Final Inspection and release of products to end customers, including raising shipments.
* Implement Operator Control of Quality (OCQ) procedures.
* Ensure timely completion of inspections to meet delivery requirements and quality standards.
* Interpret Engineering Drawings, follow process layouts, and adhere to documentation procedures.
Inspector Qualifications & Experience:
* Engineering Apprenticeship (Desirable but not Essential).
* Knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
* Proficiency in hand measuring equipment (Vernier, Micrometer, Thread and Plug Gauges).
* Strong commitment to Health & Safety practices.
* Demonstrated ability to follow company processes and procedures.
* Experience working in a customer-focused environment and achieving targets.
* Ability to read and interpret detailed Engineering Drawings.
Inspector Attributes/Skills:
* Understanding of aerospace principles and the importance of safety-critical work.
* Strong commitment to Health & Safety standards, teamwork, flexibility, and initiative.
* Inspection skills (desirable).
* Continuous improvement mindset.
* Willingness to undergo additional training in PC skills (Company Operating Systems), Manual Handling, 5S, HOS Principles, and general Health & Safety.
