Our client, a highly regarded and long established law firm in Henley on Thames, is looking for a full or part time Finance Assistant to join their team.
The main purpose of the role is to assist in the Accounts Department and in Business Support with day to day responsibilities and projects and to keep the Department Manager and Partners informed throughout and advising them immediately of any areas of concern, keeping up-to-date with developments in the law and practice concerning managing of accounts and compliance.
Our client would consider someone full time Monday to Friday 9-5 or part time (ideally 4 days a week but would consider 3 days for the right person, 9am - 5pm).
After probation there is potential to work 1 day a week from home.
Salary is £27k - £30k depending on experience plus benefits.
Duties include
1. Managing transactions on all client matters through the client database
2. Organising office and client CHAPS and BACS payments via the Firm's banking; processing credit card transactions; issuing cheques
3. Monitoring all account bank statements
4. Assisting with reporting to the partners (in the form of regular accounting reports) regarding matter and fee-earner figures, WIP, billing and cash flow etc.
