Job Description
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Senior Quantity Surveyor (Senior Commercial Manager) to join our dynamic NMC SW Account team at Polmadie, Glasgow. This role offers hybrid working between home and office.
In this role, you will be the primary contact for all commercial matters within your area and provide expert advice and guidance to wider Contract teams, ensuring the robust commercial management of subcontractors and supply chain partners, including the preparation, review, and evaluation of subcontract enquiries, quotations, payments, final accounts, and input to dispute resolution.
This role offers a unique opportunity to implement commercial best practices, maximizing value while minimizing risk and cost for Amey.
What You’ll Do:
* Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, review their work, and support their professional development.
* Manage and maintain relationships with Clients, Contract Operational Teams, and subcontractors.
* Monitor costs, compare actual costs against budgeted amounts, identify cost variances, and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
* Produce monthly CVRs.
* Produce quarterly budgets and forecasts.
* Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for Task Orders.
* Implement and drive improvements to Commercial Processes.

What You’ll Bring:
* A strong understanding of commercial reporting and implementation, supported by excellent stakeholder management skills.
* A proven track record in a similar role, enabling you to work independently and confidently.
* Relevant degree or demonstrated experience in quantity surveying / commercial management, especially in senior roles.
It is essential to hold a driving licence as you may need to work from other sites or depots.
