Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Communications Lead to join our team.
The Marketing and Communications Lead will play a vital role in raising awareness of the charity's mission, services, and activities. This role will lead the development and implementation of Our marketing and promotional strategies supporting service delivery, community outreach, fundraising, and volunteer recruitment.
Working closely with the CEO, Office Manager, Operations Manager, fundraising team and other stakeholders, the postholder will ensure consistent, professional messaging and brand presence across all platforms and localities.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications Strategy
* Working with trustees and senior team members to develop and implement a marketing and communications strategy aligned with the charity's values and goals, in line with our contractual and legal requirements.
* Support the strategic and timely promotion of services, events, and campaigns to both internal and external audiences.
* Monitor trends and engagement, adjusting marketing approach and methods to develop our brand accordingly.
Content Creation & Management
* Lead the re branding, content design of the website and ensure content is current, accurate, compliant, and easily accessible.
* Create high-quality, engaging content for weekly newsletters, working closely with the CEO to produce this.
* Take on responsibility for design, print and distribution of leaflets and posters, and support staff to create the printed material they need. Manage the print budget.
* Design and coordinate marketing materials (digital and print) using brand guidelines.
* Liaise with external designers or printers as required.
Digital & Social Media Management
* Manage the charity's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn), ensuring regular and meaningful posts that build on the Tibbs Dementia Foundation's excellent reputation, whilst adhering to current GDPR and regulatory standards.
* Build a following that is specific to our ideal target service user, professionals and wider public, and ensure maximum engagement across all platforms.
* Track social media insights and use analytics to improve engagement and outreach.
* Update and maintain the charity's website with current news, events, and resources.
Advertising & Promotion
* Plan and deliver targeted advertising campaigns for specific projects or events.
* Identify and develop relationships with local media, community groups, Local businesses, Organisations, and partners to widen reach.
* Promote community fundraising and awareness initiatives, working alongside fundraising leads. Working within the localities and our community outreach team to develop awareness and local opportunities.
* Be responsible for Tibbs listings in directories, including local council service directories and bulletins to reach volunteers and service users/carers and professionals
Brand and Public Relations
* Ensure consistency of branding and messaging across all public-facing content.
* Draft press releases and liaise with local media to promote key initiatives and events.
* Represent the charity professionally at events and within networks where appropriate.
* Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to communicate findings and strategies.
* Lead project management efforts to ensure timely delivery of marketing projects.
Monitoring & Reporting
* Maintain records of marketing activities and impact data.
* Provide monthly updates or reports to the operations manager outlining performance and key metrics.
Suggest improvements based on evaluation and feedback
Skills
Essential:
* Proven experience in marketing, communications, and sales promotion or a related role.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Proficiency in social media management and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, Meta Business Suite).
* Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop for creating marketing collateral.
* Experience with WordPress for website management and content updates.
* Strong analytical skills to assess campaign performance and derive insights from data.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills, able to prioritise tasks.
* Creative flair and attention to detail.
* To understand and work with AI tools
Desirable:
* Experience working in or with a charity or community-based organisation.
* Understanding of dementia, mental health, or health and social care sectors.
* Photography or videography skills for content development.

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
