Our Opportunity

Here at Pick Everard, we are passionate about creating a prosperous and sustainable future, taking a fresh perspective on the built environment. Our core values of professionalism, compassion, drive and positivity are at the heart of everything we do.

Do you have strong experience within a bidding team, managing multiple, complex bids?

Are you looking to take a step up in your career, to work as part of a thriving, multi-disciplinary, national consultancy?

If you answered yes to the above questions, we want to hear from you!

Pick Everard are looking for an enthusiastic Bid Manager in Leicester to join Pick Everard’s Bid Hub – a central team responsible for tender management across all our divisions and offices.

The role will offer you end to end management of some of our most important bids and allow you to strategically drive the content in them. We are a multi-disciplinary business offering design and management services to our clients, so you can expect to be interacting with architects, engineers, surveyors and project managers. These specialists are heavily bought into the bid process and will give you the time and engagement to support your bids.

Your core responsibilities will include:

* Developing a strong understanding of the full internal bid management process and systems.
* Managing assigned bids in line with the Bids and Proposals Procedure, ensuring content is accurate, consistent, and compliant.
* Identifying when supply chain input is needed and overseeing contributions to ensure quality and timeliness.
* Accurately assessing timescales, estimating required resources, and shaping effective proposal strategies.
* Selecting and coordinating bid writers and technical contributors to support each submission.
* Designing and managing storyboards and bid plans, and briefing relevant contributors.
* Researching intelligence gaps and implementing plans to address them.
* Drafting and refining both technical and non-technical bid responses.
* Managing the review process to strengthen tenders and ensure best practice.
* Contributing to the continuous improvement of the bid process within Pick Everard.

About You

Our ideal Bid Manager will have:

* An APMP Foundation qualification (highly desirable).
* Knowledge of the construction industry, or the drive and capacity to quickly develop this understanding.
* Strong team management skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate others effectively.
* Excellent time management, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail.
* A proactive, self-motivated mindset with a strong commitment to delivering results.
