Overview
We're looking for a Procurement Manager to join our joint venture with BAM Nuttall based at Devonport Dockyard, Plymouth. As a Procurement Manager, you'll be working with the head of supply chain to drive and ensure the strategic plan for the business unit is driven at framework level, ensuring procurement policies of both Kier Group and the joint venture are adhered to.
Responsibilities
* Developing and owning preferred suppliers and strategic partnerships to deliver best value for all parties
* Supporting audit requirements from both internal/external Kier audits whilst carrying out supply chain audits on a regular basis
* Ensuring suppliers and/or subcontractors have the relevant health and safety accreditation and sustainability and carbon reduction policies that align to Kier's standards
* Managing budget costs and negotiating with all parties to ensure value for money
Qualifications
* Educated to at least HNC/HND level in a construction discipline and professional membership with construction industry
* Senior level experience in supply chain procurement in a similar role within a complex project with experience of cost and time savings
* Proven self‑management, communication, and IT skills, with the ability to build good working relationships with client representatives, supply chain, and others.

Due to the nature of this role and the nature of the work at this site, you will be required to complete a Government Security Check (SC) Clearance, which takes place during your employment, and is conducted by the Cabinet Office's United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) agency which sets out pre‑requisite criteria including residency history.
