Female Support Worker x 2 Location: Leigh, Wigan Pay: £13.91 per hour (flat rate for all shifts) Positions Available: 1 x 20-hour part-time role 1 x 24-hour part-time role Make a Difference Every Day Were looking for two calm, resilient, and compassionate Female Support Workers to join a close-knit care team supporting a vibrant and sensory-seeking young person in their family home. This young individual, who lives with their supportive father, experiences the world through the lens of Sturge-Weber Syndrome, visual impairment, epilepsy (well managed), and developmental delay. They are non-verbal and use sensory behaviours to communicate, and they need a support team that truly understands their world and respects their unique needs. Whom you will be supporting This young individual is curious, bright, and expressive in their own unique way. They enjoy: The warmth and comfort of a hot tub Tearing and shaping paper into beautiful, intricate forms Feeling soft textures like grass beneath their feet Immersive, sensory-rich environments They thrive on clear routines, structure, and consistency. At times, they express big emotions through behaviour and require support from someone calm, grounded, and emotionally regulated especially during cyclical mood changes. What Were Looking For You dont need clinical qualifications just compassion, patience, and a willingness to learn. Youll be a great fit if you: Have experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities and Autism Can provide respectful, dignified personal care Are emotionally resilient and physically confident Can support behaviours that challenge with empathy and safety Are able to follow clear care protocols, including for health risks such as choking Can work 1:1 and 2:1, mainly in a 2:1 setting Are observant, patient, and value sensory-focused communication Shift Patterns Term Time Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 3:30pm 9:00pm Saturday & Sunday: 11:00am 9:00pm Saturday Overnight: 9:00pm 11:00am Wednesday: Family time no shift Non-Term Time (School Holidays) Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 8:30am 9:00pm Wednesday: 8:30am 4:30pm Saturday & Sunday: 11:00am 9:00pm Saturday Overnight: 9:00pm 11:00am Why Join Acuity Care Group?
