People Solutions are currently recruiting for Van Drivers to join our well-established client based in the Tamworth area.
Our client is willing to accept new passes and the ideal candidate will be up-skilled onto HGV trucks within their employment.

As a Van Driver you will receive the following benefits:

Rates of Pay
* Basic: £12.89 per hour
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Van Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* Multi drop deliveries of up to between 17 and 23 drops per day.
* Deliveries are made using pump truck and sack barrel, all stock is palletised (multiple customers on one pallet)
* Drivers are required to break down the pallets and deliver inside customer premises. Not doorstep deliveries.
* Ensure that the Company vehicle allocated is maintained in a roadworthy and clean condition, documenting appropriate checks and reporting any faults immediately.
* Ensure duties are carried out within legal requirements.
* Ensure all scheduled deliveries and collections are completed on time, in full on a daily basis.
* Deliver to customers as directed and assist with unloading and taking to final delivery point as requested. Report any problems with delivery sites.
* Ensure that all POD paperwork is correct and signed for either on paper or electronically using Microlise device.
* Present a professional image to the customer, be pleasant and comply with company dress requirements.
As a Van Driver you will need to have:
* Valid UK Category B Driving Licence
* Satisfactory driving record
* Maximum of six penalty points on your Licence
* Knowledge of East Midlands area preferred
* Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
* Driver's Assessment must be completed prior to starting
* Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
