About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.

Introducing the Nepean Adolescent Mental Health Unit (NAHMU), a fresh, purpose built 10-bed facility dedicated to supporting adolescents aged 12 to 17 who are navigating complex and severe mental health challenges. This state-of-the-art inpatient unit is the newest chapter in the Child, Youth and Family Mental Health (CYFMH) story, expanding its reach to provide compassionate, specialised care from the earliest stages of life through to young adulthood. NAHMU isn't just a place of healing, it's a vital step forward in empowering young people and their families with the support they need, when they need it most.

Join a team that is reshaping the future of youth mental health care. At NAMHU, we are driven by a commitment to provide compassionate, evidence‑based support to young people and their families during some of their most challenging moments. We are now seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist who is ready to make a meaningful impact and lead with purpose.

As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work alongside a dedicated Senior Social Worker and Clinical Psychologists in a primary therapist and care‑coordinator capacity for young people admitted to NAMHU. You will be a central clinician for both young people and their families, guiding the development and delivery of care plans and offering specialised assessment, formulation and evidence‑based interventions for those experiencing acute mental health challenges. Your expertise will help shape the therapeutic journey for each young person, ensuring they receive the highest standard of holistic, person‑centred care.

If you are passionate about empowering young people, committed to evidence‑based practice and eager to contribute to a collaborative, forward‑thinking clinical team, we would love to hear from you. Step into a role where your expertise truly changes lives and where your work helps build brighter, more resilient futures.
