Our onshore and offshore teams are united in their goal, to boost the UK's energy security and drive down bills for customers. Rough, our North Sea storage facility, currently provides half of the UK's gas storage - enough to heat 2.4 million homes over winter. But we're not stopping there. We've got our sights set on transforming it into the world's largest hydrogen storage facility and creating a Net Zero connected energy hub in the Humber. CES+ holds the licence to the Rough reservoir off the East Yorkshire coast, the UK's largest gas storage facility, providing resilience to the UK energy infrastructure. CES+ also owns and operates the Easington Gas Terminal, processing gas both from Rough storage and from several other gas fields in the Southern North Sea. Our job is to keep UK gas available to families and businesses throughout the UK all year round.The CES+ Procurement Year in Industry scheme is designed for an undergraduate student to apply their skills in a workplace and make a real difference to the business and the wider energy infrastructure of the UK. You will be a part of the team from day one. You will help us continually improve what we do so that we can show up for CES+. In the Procurement team, we are responsible for purchasing goods and services for the wider business. We're excited about the future - because we're central to driving value, innovation and sustainability across the business and we're committed to being more agile, strategic and collaborative than ever before.Your primary role will be to support the purchase to pay (P2P) process, where you will have the opportunity to work on several areas such as, understanding business requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE) and placing orders with suppliers, taking ownership of the new vendor and vendor master data change process, assessing purchase requisitions from the business and converting them into purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring orders are acknowledged and expediting delivery, helping the business to assess its open commitments, ensuring they are properly accounted for and reduced where possible. supporting queries on invoices received that do not immediately match service entry sheets that have been approved, supporting goods import & logistics and compliance with customs requirements, ensuring contractual rates are reflected in enterprise-resource system (ERP)Centrica operates a Flexible First approach which means giving colleagues the flexibility they need to carry out their role in a way that works best for them, their team, and our customers.
