Childrens Commissioning Team Placement Finding and Brokerage Officer x 2 full time positions About the role The Childrens Commissioning Team have two new full time opportunities for the right candidates to join us in the role of Placement Finding and Brokerage Officer. The primary focus of this role is to find and secure placements and support services for children and young people who need our care. You will need to identify services to meet the needs and outcomes of the child which is high quality, best value for money and available when a child needs it. You will need to build good working relationships with a range of professionals both inside and outside the Local Authority, including care providers, social care, education and health. You will work with professionals to understand the needs of the child and ensure that referrals are strengths based so that targeted searches can be completed to meet their needs and outcomes. We are looking for candidates who are pro-active, well-organised, who show initiative and who will work well as part of our busy team. A flexible approach and the ability to sometimes work under pressure to meet deadlines and find placements quickly will be needed. The Childrens Commissioning Team are in the process of developing new ways of working following a restructure and it is an exciting time to join us in a rewarding role which contributes to making a difference to a child s future. The role is hybrid based at 3 Knowsley Place in supporting agile working. The position will require some working in the office to meet the needs of the service which will be at least 2 days per week. Normal hours of work are 37 hours per week based around the usual business working week.
