The Lothian Clinical Health Psychology Service is very pleased to be advertising this permanent Band 8B (0.8wte) Senior Clinical Health Psychology post. This post is a key part of the service and operates as the deputy to the Professional Lead. You will be the Service Lead for the well-established and respected Pain Management Service, which comprises of a very friendly, dedicated and motivated team of Applied Psychologists, CAAPs and Specialist Pain Physiotherapists. We have good and close relationships with the Pain Service (comprising Consultant Anaesthetists and Specialist Pain Nurses). There are many opportunities for MDT working across both arms of the service. You will also have operational management responsibility for colleagues working within the ME/CFS, Amputee Psychology and Weight Management services. Engagement in CPD activity is encouraged, as is participation in the physical health psychology ACT and CFT supervision groups.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced clinician to further their career in this senior role within the Clinical Health Psychology Service, supported by a team of other 8B psychologists and the Professional Lead. The Clinical Health Psychology is a welcoming and supportive team, consisting of 25 clinicians working across 15 different physical health specialities in acute hospital, outpatient and community settings. There are many opportunities for networking across the wider team, in addition to regular team meetings.
