Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Salary: £28000 to £31000 per year
Location: Stroud
Benefits: overtime time and a half, sick pay, health plan, pension, free parking, regular overtime and training
Working week: 38.75 hours per week Monday to Friday
We are now seeking to recruit a mechanical assembler / fitter for a busy manufacturing company based in Stroud. The appropriate candidate would be responsible for the assembly and testing of high precision components and associated parts for automotive and aerospace sector use.
Responsibilities of an assembler/ fitter will include:
1. Cleaning of components prior to assembly process
2. Parts hydro testing
3. Assembly of components in line with work instructions
4. Assist with pipe bending
5. Stamping and Etching
6. Final assembly
The suitable assembler/ fitter is required to have:
1. Proven experience in a production or automotive based assembly environment
2. Strong team-working ethic, with the drive and flexibility to maintain pace of work as priorities and requirements change
3. Strong multi-tasking abilities
4. Ability to work on own initiative
5. Willingness to be trained with new skills
6. Attention to detail
