Overview
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team of Lifeguards at Blantyre Leisure Centre. You will be responsible to the Duty Officer for the daily operation of the Centre, undertaking a range of duties including pool supervision and cleaning.
Location: Blantyre Leisure Centre, Glasgow Road, Blantyre
Hours: 37 hours per week (3 week rota)
No of posts: 2
Salary Band: £26,314 - £26,603 per year
Shift Pattern:
Week 1: Tue/Wed Early shift, Thurs/Fri Late shift
Week 2: Mon/Thurs/Fri Early shift, Sun Late Shift
Week 3: Mon-Wed Late Shift, Sat/Sun Early Shift
(e.g. Early shift 6:15am - 3:30pm, Late shift 2pm - 10:30pm)
Duration: Fixed Term until 31st March 2026

Responsibilities
* Supervision of pool activities
* To carry out cleaning to meet defined standards
* To ensure facilities and equipment are safe and secure in accordance with procedures
Requirements
A current Pool Lifeguard qualification is essential, with a first aid certificate and previous experience being desirable.
